Juno Beach

Juno Beach: Canadian remembrance on the shores of Normandy
Located between Courseulles-sur-Mer and Saint-Aubin-sur-Mer, Juno Beach is one of the emblematic beaches of the D-Day landings of June 6, 1944. It was here that Canadian troops landed, facing down formidable enemy defenses to pave the way for the liberation of Europe.
Today, Juno Beach is much more than a historic beach: it’s a living place of remembrance. On the seafront, the Juno Beach Centre is the only Canadian museum dedicated to the Normandy Landings. Through moving exhibits, eyewitness accounts and immersive tours, it brings history to life with sensitivity and modernity.
The beach, long and bright, offers a splendid setting for strolling, meditating or simply enjoying the fresh sea air. Commemorative monuments, restored bunkers and steles pay tribute to these young soldiers from across the Atlantic. Between emotion, discovery and nature, Juno Beach is a place that combines past and present, memory and freedom.
